Bengaluru-based climate-tech startup reports a ₹40 crore order book, serves over 40 commercial customers and plans expansion across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai and Mumbai.
Bengaluru, November 4, 2026: Bengaluru-based climate-tech startup ECOPATH (Eco Path Innovations) has raised ₹2.25 crore in a seed funding round from Social Alpha and Gemcorp to scale its zero-cement construction technology and expand its presence across India’s infrastructure and real estate sectors.
Founded by Sourabh Kumar and Abhishek Chhazed, ECOPATH has developed proprietary zero-cement concrete solutions for roads, precast construction and external infrastructure development. The company has secured more than 40 paying commercial customers within two years of operations and built an order book exceeding ₹40 crore.
The newly raised capital will support the expansion of precast manufacturing capacity, supply-chain strengthening, team expansion and accelerated research and development (R&D). The company also plans to expand its operations across five major Indian cities as demand for sustainable and low-carbon construction materials increases.
ECOPATH’s Zero-Cement Technology Targets Construction Emissions
The construction industry is under increasing pressure to reduce its environmental footprint while meeting India’s growing infrastructure and urban development requirements. Conventional cement production is a significant source of industrial carbon emissions, while traditional concrete construction also involves substantial water consumption during curing.
ECOPATH aims to address these challenges through its proprietary zero-cement concrete technology. The company uses industrial by-products, including waste generated by the steel industry, along with specially developed binders to manufacture construction materials without conventional cement.
Its manufacturing approach also eliminates the need for conventional water-based curing, offering potential resource-efficiency benefits alongside reduced carbon emissions.
According to the company, its materials can achieve an average reduction of approximately 75% in carbon emissions compared with conventional cement-based alternatives, depending on the application and project specifications. ECOPATH has also developed carbon-negative material variants to expand the possibilities for sustainable infrastructure development.
Over 40 Commercial Customers and a ₹40 Crore Order Book
ECOPATH has gained commercial traction across residential real estate, industrial facilities, educational institutions and infrastructure projects.
The company has secured more than 40 paying customers, including prominent organisations such as Lodha, Tata Power, RV University, Jindal Steel, Emmvee Solar, Modern Spaces, Hosachiguru and Nesta Ira Estates.
Its growing customer portfolio and repeat business indicate increasing commercial adoption of its alternative construction materials.
Sourabh Kumar, Founder and CEO of ECOPATH, said, “The construction industry is at an important inflection point. India needs to build at an unprecedented pace, but the materials and methods used to create its infrastructure need to evolve alongside that growth.
“We started ECOPATH with the belief that sustainable construction should not be limited to pilot projects or come at a premium. Our focus has been on developing solutions that can deliver on performance, durability and commercial viability while significantly reducing environmental impact. The funding will help us strengthen our manufacturing capabilities, expand our reach and serve the growing demand from developers and infrastructure companies.”
Zero-Cement Products for Roads, Buildings and Infrastructure
ECOPATH offers a diversified portfolio of zero-cement construction materials designed for different infrastructure and real estate applications.
Its product range includes:
- Paver blocks
- Kerbstones
- U-drains
- Boundary walls
- Construction slabs
- Solid blocks
- Ready-mix concrete
Beyond manufacturing precast products, the company undertakes road construction and complete external infrastructure development. This integrated business model enables developers and infrastructure companies to access multiple construction solutions through a single provider.
The company’s technology is already being deployed in commercial projects across India.
At RV University’s new Mysore campus, ECOPATH’s zero-cement paver installations are estimated to have avoided approximately 130 tonnes of CO₂ emissions, based on project-specific calculations.
Another major deployment at Emmvee Solar’s facility is projected to avoid more than 2,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions upon completion.
These projects demonstrate the company’s efforts to move alternative construction materials beyond experimental applications and into commercial infrastructure development.
ECOPATH Develops Faster, Resource-Efficient Road Construction Solutions
Alongside its precast manufacturing business, ECOPATH is expanding its technology portfolio to address challenges in road construction and infrastructure maintenance.
Its solutions include in-situ zero-cement concrete for roads, flooring and drainage applications, along with rapid-setting pothole repair technology for concrete roads.
In company-conducted trials, ECOPATH’s rapid-setting repair technology has enabled repaired road sections to reopen to traffic within 15 minutes without conventional water curing.
The company is preparing for a wider rollout of this solution, which could help reduce road maintenance downtime and improve the efficiency of infrastructure repair operations.
Abhishek Chhazed, Co-founder and CTO of ECOPATH, said, “Cement built the last century. We are going to build the next one without it.
“Concrete is the most used man-made material on earth, and the world cannot decarbonise without fixing it. Cement alternatives cannot stay stuck in labs and pilot projects — they have to take centre stage. ECOPATH is building that technology at scale, first for India and then for the world.”
ECOPATH Plans Expansion Across Five Indian Cities
With the fresh seed funding, ECOPATH plans to strengthen its presence in five major markets:
- Bengaluru
- Hyderabad
- Pune
- Chennai
- Mumbai
Bengaluru will remain the company’s priority market, while manufacturing capacity and supply-chain infrastructure will be expanded according to project requirements and regional demand.
The company will also focus on strengthening its operational capabilities to support larger infrastructure projects and improve the availability of its zero-cement construction products.
ECOPATH Targets 10 Million Tonnes of CO₂ Emission Reductions by 2030
ECOPATH has set an ambitious target of enabling a cumulative reduction of 10 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions by 2030.
The company’s strategy centres on making zero-cement construction materials commercially viable and accessible across India’s expanding infrastructure ecosystem.
Its combination of proprietary material technology, precast manufacturing, integrated infrastructure services and growing commercial customer base positions ECOPATH to participate in the transition towards lower-carbon construction.
The latest ₹2.25 crore investment from Social Alpha and Gemcorp is expected to support the next phase of this growth as the company works towards expanding its manufacturing capabilities, entering new markets and scaling sustainable construction solutions.
As India continues to invest in roads, residential developments, industrial facilities and urban infrastructure, ECOPATH aims to establish zero-cement concrete as a practical alternative to conventional cement-based construction.
