Hyderabad, September 6, 2026: enGen Global, an Integrated Healthcare Global Capability Centre, has donated advanced orthopaedic and laparoscopic surgical equipment to Seva Bharathi LCH Greenlands Trust – Dr Ishwar Chander Charitable Hospital at Sitarambagh, Hyderabad.
The initiative has been undertaken under enGen Global’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, enGen Serve, with the aim of strengthening access to quality and affordable surgical healthcare for underserved communities.
The equipment was formally handed over during a programme held at Seva Bharathi Hospital, Sitarambagh. The event was attended by Shrinivas Ayyagari, CHRO, enGen; Arvind Srinivasan, CFO and Head of enGen Serve, enGen Global; Director Amrutha; Dr. Veda Prakash, Medical Director, Seva Bharathi Hospital; Subramanyam, State Secretary, Seva Bharathi; Vice President Rama Murthy Prabhala; and Vidya Bhushan, representing the Lions Club.
New Equipment to Strengthen Surgical Care
The newly donated equipment is expected to enhance the hospital’s surgical capabilities and enable it to provide a broader range of procedures within its own facility.
Dr. Veda Prakash, Medical Director, Seva Bharathi Hospital, said the equipment will help strengthen the hospital’s surgical capacity and support the delivery of quality surgical care to underserved families at an affordable cost.
The initiative is also expected to reduce the need for patients to travel to or depend on more expensive private healthcare facilities for certain procedures.
Orthopaedic Equipment to Support Advanced Procedures
The donated orthopaedic equipment will support a range of procedures, including arthroscopic surgeries, ligament-tear repairs and other orthopaedic interventions.
Access to appropriate surgical equipment can help hospitals expand their in-house capabilities and provide patients with timely treatment while reducing the financial burden associated with treatment at higher-cost facilities.
Laparoscopic Equipment to Enable Minimally Invasive Surgeries
The laparoscopic equipment will enable the hospital to perform minimally invasive surgical procedures, including operations for conditions such as appendicitis and gall-bladder-related ailments.
Laparoscopic surgery generally involves smaller incisions compared with conventional open surgery and is widely used for a range of abdominal procedures. The availability of such equipment at a charitable hospital can further expand treatment options for patients seeking affordable surgical care.
enGen Serve Focuses on Accessible Healthcare
Speaking about the initiative, Arvind Srinivasan, CFO and Head of enGen Serve at enGen Global, highlighted the importance of making healthcare accessible irrespective of a family’s financial circumstances.
“Access to quality healthcare should not be determined by a family’s ability to pay. Through enGen Serve, we are proud to help make essential surgical care more accessible and affordable,” said Srinivasan.
The CSR initiative reflects enGen Global’s efforts to contribute to healthcare access through targeted community programmes and support for healthcare institutions serving underserved populations.
Supporting Communities Beyond Business
Shrinivas Ayyagari, CHRO, enGen, said the organisation’s purpose extends beyond its business operations and includes creating a meaningful impact in the communities it serves.
“Our purpose extends beyond business to creating meaningful impact in the communities we serve. We are proud to support Seva Bharathi in bringing quality surgical care closer to underserved families,” said Ayyagari.
The collaboration with Seva Bharathi Hospital is expected to strengthen the institution’s ability to deliver surgical services to families who may otherwise face challenges in accessing advanced medical facilities.
A Step Towards Affordable Surgical Healthcare
The donation comes at a time when access to quality healthcare and affordable treatment remains an important priority for communities, particularly for families with limited financial resources.
By supporting hospitals with essential medical and surgical infrastructure, corporate CSR programmes can complement the efforts of charitable healthcare institutions and help expand access to specialised treatment.
With the addition of advanced orthopaedic and laparoscopic equipment, Seva Bharathi Hospital in Sitarambagh is expected to enhance its surgical capabilities and provide more procedures in-house.
